Imam gets 7-day notice amid dispute over mosque built on UP police station land

A dispute emerged over a mosque, locally known as "Thane Wali Masjid", in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut after authorities alleged it was built on police station land. Police said a revenue survey found it stood on land recorded in police station's name and served a seven-day notice to imam Abdul Ghaffar. The mosque management claimed it is registered with Waqf Board.
