IMD forecasts rain, thunderstorms for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry today

The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain across isolated parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on July 5, with thunderstorms and gusty winds. Chennai is expected to remain partly cloudy, with a chance of light showers. A strengthened low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal has also prompted a warning for fishermen to avoid venturing into rough sea areas.
