IMD issues heavy rainfall alert in Maharashtra as 2 die in Mumbai

IMD has issued an 'orange' alert for heavy rainfall in Maharashtra's Raigad and Ratnagiri and a 'yellow' alert for Palghar, Mumbai, Thane and Sindhudurg for Sunday and Monday. This comes after two people died after getting washed away in a drain amid heavy rainfall in Mumbai. According to IMD Mumbai, city received 104 mm of rain in last 24 hours.
