Considering the prevailing heat wave conditions, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alert in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Vidarbha (Maharashtra) for next 3 days. Further, New Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees (Palam Observatory) on Wednesday, which makes it the hottest day of the season so far.
