IMD issues 'red alert' in Haryana & Punjab amid dropping temperatures, fog

The India Meteorological Department has issued a 'red alert' in Punjab and Haryana, citing dense fog and cold weather conditions. It has also asked people to take precautions while going out or driving during low visibility. In Gurugram, the visibility remained poor until 11 am on Thursday. Meanwhile, the lowest temperature in Haryana was recorded in Hisar at 2.2°C.
