IMD issues yellow alert for rain in several Maharashtra districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow alert for rain and thunderstorms across several districts in Maharashtra. Jalgaon, Nashik, Palghar, Thane, Mumbai City, Pune, and other places are “very likely” to witness light rainfall, IMD stated. IMD also warned of gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) likely over the region during the next 5 days.
