IMD predicts rain & strong winds in Delhi on July 1, yellow alert in place

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast "generally cloudy sky with moderate rain" in Delhi on Wednesday, July 1 and also issued a yellow alert warning of strong surface winds in the afternoon and evening. This comes as the southwest monsoon has yet to arrive in Delhi officially. The IMD has predicted "thunderstorm with rain" on Thursday, July 2.
