IMD releases predicted path of cyclone 'Sitrang' in the Bay of Bengal

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has shared a picture showing the observed and forecast track of cyclonic storm 'Sitrang'. The deep depression developing in the Bay of Bengal had intensified into a cyclone at 5.30 pm on Sunday, the IMD said. The cyclone will cross the Bangladesh coast between Tinkona Island and Sandwip around October 25 (Tuesday), it added.
