IMF lowers India's FY27 growth forecast to 6.4% amid US-Iran war escalation
Amid fresh escalations in the Iran-US war, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) lowered India's growth projections to 6.4% from 6.5% earlier. It raised the GDP growth projections for the next fiscal year by 0.2% to 6.7%. IMF expects global growth to improve to 3.4% in 2027, although that would remain below the 3.5% average recorded during 2024 and 2025.
