In 1st, US allows Amazon's Zoox to offer steering-wheel-free taxi rides
Amazon's Zoox unit has won US approval for the limited commercial deployment of its steering-wheel-free robotaxis, a first for the autonomous ride-hailing industry. Zoox's electric, carriage-style vehicle features two rows of inward-facing seats and has a top speed of 120 km per hour. With the US administration's approval, Zoox can now charge passengers for rides in its robotaxis.
