US forces struck a submarine and a ship maintenance facility at Iran's Bandar Abbas Naval Base using one-way attack surface drones, US Central Command said. It described the operation as the first combat use of sea drones by American forces and also released footage. It claimed the attack “degraded Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial shipping" through Strait of Hormuz.
