In a first, EC notes poll-code violation complaint against a PM

In a first, the EC has taken cognisance of a model code violation allegation against a prime minister. It has asked BJP to respond to complaints filed by Opposition parties accusing PM Modi of delivering a divisive and defamatory speech in Rajasthan. Simultaneously, it asked Congress to respond to BJP’s complaints against Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi regarding their remarks.
