In a setback for Mamata, HC allows rebel TMC MLA Ritabrata to continue as LoP in WB Assembly

In a setback for TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, rebel MLA Ritabrata Banerjee will continue as LoP in West Bengal Assembly as Calcutta High Court denied an interim order against the Speaker's decision to recognise him as the same. The plea was filed by TMC leader Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, whom TMC officially nominated as LoP. The Speaker, however, recognised Ritabrata as LoP.
