In do-or-die bid, Pak turns to selling banks & hotels to avoid total collapse

Pakistan is now planning to sell public-sector entities spanning power distribution, banking, hospitality, insurance and energy sectors in a "do-or-die" bid to avoid total economic collapse. This comes weeks after Pakistan finalised its plan to sell the country's national airline PIA. The large-scale privatisation programme could help Pakistan in the short-term but may have no long-term benefit.
