In Japan's Tashirojima island, cats outnumber humans

Tashirojima, a small island where feline residents significantly outnumber humans, lies a cat shrine known as Neko-jinja or Cat Shrine. This shrine venerates cats as the protective spirits of the island. With a human population of around 100, there are actually more than 100 cats living on Tashirojima.
