Parts of Delhi, including Red Fort, Kashmere Gate, Geeta Colony, Monastery Market, Purana Qila and ISBT, were flooded after water level in the Yamuna River rose to an all-time high of 208.48 metres. People staying in the low-lying areas were shifted to safe places. Three water treatment plants have been closed, which may affect the water supply in the city.
