In pics: World's largest snake discovered in the Amazon

A new giant anaconda species identified in the Amazonian rainforest has been dubbed the world's largest snake. The Northern Green Anaconda (Eunectes akayima) was found by a team led by The University of Queensland biologist Bryan Fry. The snake can measure up to 7.5 metres (around 25 feet) in length and may weigh around 500 kg.
