A camel marathon took place in Dubai on December 3, which is celebrated as UAE's National Day. Camel racing, which dates back to 7th century and is one of the oldest sports in the United Arab Emirates, draws thousands of fans and competitors from all over the region each year. The 24-kilometre long camel race was UAE's longest camel race.
