In public clash, Micron indirectly blames Apple for helping drive chip prices higher

Micron and Apple are seemingly clashing publicly after the iPhone maker announced a historic price hike for its products, and CEO Tim Cook blamed "memory guys" for passing along huge price increases. Micron CBO Sumit Sadana responded by indirectly blaming Apple's "aggressive" pricing in 2023, which caused "a lot of industry investments to shut down". Micron is Apple's chip supplier.
