In touch with Russia: MEA on release of Indians from Russian Army

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has said that India is constantly in touch with Russian authorities to facilitate the release and discharge of Indians from the Russian Army. Over 20 Indians were allegedly cheated into fighting in Russia's war with Ukraine on the pretext of lucrative jobs. At least two Indians have passed away while serving in Russian Army.
