In Trump's own goal, Americans paying for 96% of tariffs instead of countries they were for

A new study by German think tank Kiel Institute found that Americans are paying 96% of the costs of tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on dozens of countries. Calling the tariffs "an own goal", the think tank said they work like a consumption tax on imported goods. It noted that Trump's tariffs will shrink US companies' margins.
