Independent Haryana MLA Savitri Jindal extends support to BJP

India's richest woman Savitri Jindal, who won the Hisar seat in the Haryana Assembly elections as an Independent, on Wednesday extended her support to the BJP. "For the development of Hisar, I have decided to support the BJP government," the 74-year-old said. Notably, she fought the elections as an Independent candidate after the BJP denied her a ticket from Hisar.
