India, 14 nations call to curb excess industrial output

India and 13 other countries signed a joint statement in Washington urging global action against excess industrial capacity. Issued on the sidelines of OECD Trade Committee talks, the statement calls for eliminating non-market policies distorting global trade. China, Brazil, Russia, and other G20 members did not sign. The move builds on G20 Trade Ministerial discussions in Milwaukee.
