India, EU to operationalise FTA within a year: Commerce Secy

Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal on Tuesday said India and European Union will move towards signing and operationalising the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between them within a year. On January 27, PM Narendra Modi announced signing of "mother of all trade deals" between two nations. The FTA assumes greater significance at a time of heightened geopolitical and economic uncertainty, Agrawal said.
