India, France announce agreement on classified information

India and France have announced a "general security agreement on the exchange and protection of classified information" after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. This will allow an "exchange of information between India and France in a secured manner" via a "legal framework". It'll also enhance the cooperation between both countries in "strategic areas".
