India, France discuss nuclear cooperation during PM Modi's visit

PM Narendra Modi discussed nuclear cooperation with President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to France, MEA said. "In civil nuclear energy, they noted that India's SHANTI Act creates new opportunities for collaboration, including on small and advanced modular reactors," MEA said. The SHANTI Act permits private sector participation as well as foreign direct investment in nuclear sector, it added.
