India, Israel begin talks for free trade agreement

India and Israel have begun the first round of negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA) to boost commercial ties and investments, an official said. The four-day talks will conclude on February 26. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi, during his visit to Israel, said both sides have decided to raise the status of their bilateral relations to a Special Strategic Partnership.
