India 1st Asian team to win a Test series in Australia

After clinching the four-match Test series against Australia 2-1, India became the first Asian team to win a Test series on Australian soil. This was India's 12th Test series in Australia, having earlier lost eight and drawn three. Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have played 12, six and one Test series each in Australia so far.
