India adds over 1 lakh new piped gas connections in last 2 weeks

India reported the addition of 1,20,000 new piped gas connections in the last two weeks, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary at Petroleum Ministry, said. The government has been urging liquefied ⁠petroleum gas consumers to avoid panic buying ​of ​LPG ⁠cylinders and shift to piped ​natural gas ​where ⁠possible. This comes amid global energy supply disruption due to West Asia war.
