India administers over 9.84 lakh 3rd dose of COVID-19 vaccines on Day 1

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 9,84,676 precaution doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in India on Monday when the vaccination drive for the third dose began. Healthcare workers received 5,19,604 precaution doses while 2,01,205 precaution doses were given to the frontline workers. Citizens above 60 years of age received 2,63,867 precaution doses.
