India allows 10,000 tonnes of onion exports each to UAE, Sri Lanka

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has allowed exports of 10,000 tonnes of onions to Sri Lanka. The government has also permitted an additional 10,000 tonnes of onion exports to the UAE after already approving 24,400 tonnes of onion exports to the country. The government imposed a ban on onion exports last year and extended it indefinitely in March.
