India avenged US blackmailing through Green Revolution

India was facing food scarcity post independence which was tackled by importing food grains. During this time USA came up with PL-480 scheme through which it gave wheat grains at a subsidised rate. Soon it started using the same as political leverage which was used against India time and again. Green revolution helped India to come out of the same.
