India beat China to become world's largest rice producer in 2025: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said India surpassed China to become the world's largest rice producer in 2025. India's rice production stood at 150.18 million tonne, compared to China's 145.28 million tonne, he stated, adding that it's an unprecedented achievement. India has ensured its food security by fully stocking up its grain reserves, he said.
