India beat England & Germany in Open & Women's event at Chess Olympiad

India's Open team secured 2.5-1.5 victory over England in Round 7 of FIDE Chess Olympiad 2026 on Wednesday. Praggnanandhaa R and Gukesh D won their respective matches, while Arjun Erigaisi was held to a draw and Nihal Sarin lost his game. In Women's section, India defeated Germany 3.5-0.5, with Koneru Humpy, Divya Deshmukh and Savitha Shri B winning their games.
