India beat Japan 2-1, reach FIH Women's Nations Cup semi-finals

India entered the semi-finals of FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup 2026 with a 2-1 win over Japan in the second Pool A match in New Zealand's Auckland on Tuesday. India skipper Salima Tete found the net in the 33rd minute, however, Japan's Ai Hiramitsu scored the equaliser within two minutes. In the 49th minute, Lalremsiami scored the winner for India.
