India becomes world's 4th-largest economy, surpassing Japan

India has become world's fourth-largest economy, surpassing Japan, NITI Aayog CEO BVR Subrahmanyam said on Saturday. "We are the fourth largest economy as I speak. We are a USD 4 trillion economy as I speak," said Subrahmanyam. US, China and Germany are the three countries bigger than India, he said, adding that we may become third-largest economy in 2.5-3 years.
