India begins absentia trial against Pak's Hafiz Saeed & 5 others for 26/11 Mumbai attacks

Indian agencies and Mumbai Police have begun the process for absentia trial against six Pakistani terrorists, including Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed, in 26/11 terror attacks. Under BNSS, proceedings can continue against proclaimed offenders who fail to appear in court, and if convicted, they face punishment if later brought to India. Over 160 people were killed in 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.
