India begins process to develop next-generation 2-seater electric aircraft 'E-Hansa'
India has started process to develop Electric Hansa (E-Hansa), a next-generation two-seater electric trainer aircraft. The aircraft has been developed by CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories and is expected to cost ₹2 crore, roughly half the price of a comparable imported trainer aircraft. E-HANSA will offer a cost-effective, indigenous and clean energy fuel option for pilot training in India.
