India blocks Russian social network over Blue Whale threat

Several Indian internet providers have temporarily blocked Russian social network VKontakte over suspicion that some groups on the platform might be promoting the Blue Whale Challenge. "We are taking several multi-dimensional ways of containing the threat," Electronics and Information Technology Ministry said. The challenge originated in Russia and has claimed over 100 lives around the world.
