India break world record for winning most matches in int'l cricket in a calendar year

The last-ball four-wicket victory against Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday was India's 39th victory in international cricket in 2022. With this, India broke the world record for winning the most number of matches in international cricket in a calendar year. The previous record was held by Australia, who had won 38 matches in 2003.
