India calls for Arctic research tie-up with Japan, S Korea

Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh, addressing the Arctic Circle Assembly 2026 in Reykjavik, proposed joint expeditions, shared research facilities, and systematic data exchange among India, Japan, and South Korea. He highlighted Arctic-Himalaya climate linkages, India's Himadri station, and called for cooperation ahead of the International Polar Year 2032-33.
