India calls for global pact to prevent 'arms race in space' at UN

Sudha Murty called for the formation of an international agreement to prevent "an arms race in space", while speaking at the UN General Assembly First Committee. "India believes outer space belongs to all of us...It's our view that outer space should remain a realm for cooperation, not conflict," she said. Murty added, "We're one Earth, one family with one future."
