India-Canada eye $50B trade goal by 2030

India-Canada bilateral trade fell 8% to $7.95 billion in 2025-26 from $8.66 billion in 2024-25. Both nations are targeting $50 billion by 2030. India exports pharmaceuticals and steel; imports pulses and crude oil. With 425,000 Indian students in Canada, both sides see a trade agreement as key to expanding opportunities.
