India celebrates Earth Hour by switching off lights, pics surface

Earth Hour was celebrated on Saturday in various cities across India. Lights were switched off at Delhi's India Gate and Akshardham temple, Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Kolkata's Howrah Bridge, among other places. The event encourages people worldwide to turn off lights for 60 minutes from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm as symbolic gesture of support for our planet.
