India contributes $1 million to continue promotion of Hindi at UN

India has contributed $1.16 million to the 'Hindi@UN' programme, which focuses on expanding the use of the language at the United Nations. The project was launched in 2018 by India to enhance the public outreach of the United Nations in the Hindi language, and to spread greater awareness about global issues among millions of Hindi-speaking people around the world.
