India could develop own GPU in 3-5 years: Ashwini Vaishnaw

IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said India could develop its high-end computing chipset, known as GPUs, in the next 3-5 years. He further stated that a local foundational AI platform is expected in 10 months. The government will also roll out 18,000 high-end GPU-based computing facilities to Indian entities for AI development in the next couple of days, he said.
