India cuts fertiliser import reliance, meets 73% need domestically

In 2025, India met nearly 73% of its fertiliser needs through domestic production, reducing import dependence. Strong government policies, new plants, and raw material security have boosted production, ensuring a timely fertiliser supply to farmers and advancing self-reliance in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
