India emerging as key pharmaceutical partner: Afghan Minister

Afghanistan’s Public Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali said India is emerging as a key alternative partner for the country’s pharmaceutical needs as ties with Pakistan have “deteriorated.” He said Pakistan earlier supplied 60–70% of Afghanistan’s pharma market. Jalali added that Afghanistan shares a strong relationship with India and is looking to open a new chapter of cooperation.
