India end U-17 Wrestling World C'ships with 13 medals, Sitender 2nd Indian to win 2 titles

India's freestyle wrestling contingent concluded their campaign at the U-17 World Championships 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan, with 13 medals. Seventeen-year-old wrestler Sitender Malik, who defended his U-17 world title from 2025 and won the 60 kg gold medal, became only the second Indian male freestyle wrestler to win two world titles. Sandhya Vishnoi won silver in the 46 kg category.
