India exposed to risks as China trade deficit reaches $100 bn: Report

India's widening trade deficit with China "exposes India to geopolitical risks", economic think tank Global Trade Research Initiative said, as the deficit reached $100 billion in FY25. India's exports to China have dropped to 11.2% from 42.3% two decades ago. Meanwhile, China fulfils 97.7% of India's antibiotic requirements, 96.8% of silicon wafer needs and 86% flat panel display demands.
